The Finger Lakes IMPACT is a Mens Amatuer/Minor League football team based in Waterloo, NY. We started playing football in 2010 and have an overall record of 28-9 over the past 3 years. We have made the playoffs every year and won the Northeastern Football Alliance's Western Conference Championship in 2011 and 2012!
Our players, coaches and volunteers come from all over the Finger Lakes including Waterloo, Rochester, Geneva, Auburn, Syracuse, Canandaigua and many other towns and cities!
Every home game the IMPACT plays has a theme to it. One of the major causes close to the IMPACT is Breast Cancer Awareness. Each year the IMPACT players, coach and staff wear pink for the IMPACT in Pink game with proceeds from the game being donated to Breast Cancer Awareness organizations in the Finger Lakes area.
The Military has played major roles in our families. Each year, the first home game the IMPACT plays is dedicated to all current and former members of the Military. Proceeds from these games are donated to the Canandaigua Veterans Hospital Recreation Department.
Fans are the most important part to the team because they are the reason why the players, staff, and coaches get involved in the sport.
They give the players confidence, and whoever their favorite team is, they really love that team.
There is a difference between loyal fans and bandwagon fans. Loyal fans like their team during good or bad seasons, support them in the big games, and always stay on top of how they are doing by watching on T.V., listening on the radio, being at the game, checking the Internet, having messages being sent to their phones, etc. Some fans travel to see their team play when they are away because they really love that team.
